I love daily detox drinks! I love that they are packed with a ton of good for me ingredients that really make me feel great and truly help with overall wellness in so many ways.
This is the Daily Detox Drink that I drink daily. As you will see, there are a TON of health benefits in each ingredient individually. I strongly encourage you to click the links below and read more about each ingredient & what it can do your your overall health. Apple Cider Vinegar is full of enzymes and good bacteria. It contains acetic acid, which has been shown to lower blood pressure up to 6 percent. It can also help eat up the starches if you do eat grains in your diet. (I use Bragg – Apple Cider Vinegar.)
Lemon juice helps balance blood sugar and has an alkaline effect on your body helping to regulate PH. It also contains vitamin C.
Cinnamon is one of the best antioxidants on the planet. It’s the number one herb/spice for balancing blood sugar.
Ginger can help lower cholesterol, may significantly reduce menstrual pain & can help ease sore muscles.
Cayenne pepper has been shown to drop blood pressure, increase metabolism.
Local Raw Honey contains many antioxidants including flavonoids to maintain the body’s health balance. Helps with allergies.
I am big on saving time where I can so I like to pre-make these detox drinks for the day. I pre-measure all of the dry ingredients and then all I have to do is add the wet ingredients.
Fun fact, all my “Mason Jars” are recycled Salsa Jars!
Dr. Axe recommends drinking three (3) a day, one (1) 20 minutes before each meal for two (2) weeks and then moving to one (1) a day in the morning.
1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon Ginger Powder
pinch of Cayenne Pepper
1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
juice of 1 Lemon
drizzle of local Raw Honey
4-8oz Warm H2O (I add about 6oz)
*optional: add in 1/8 teaspoon turmeric & fresh parsley
