25 Days of Oily Thankfulness

Day 11: Grapefruit

Grapefruit has an extremely refreshing and uplifting fragrant influence. A Mie University study found that citrus progresses boosted immunity, induced relaxation, and reduce depression.

I personally love adding 1 to 2 drops of grapefruit oil to my icewater for an uplifting mood booster! Great News … For those of us that suffer from hangovers, grapefruit essential oil is for you! It helps increases detoxification and urination frequency and also helps curb sugar cravings. Yay!

According to Life Science Publishing, grapefruit essential oil is used in the treatment of fluid retention, depression, obesity, liver disorders, anxiety, and cellulite.

Do keep in mind that grapefruit essential oil is a photosensitive, therefore if applying topically, be sure to avoid sun exposure.
