25 Days of Oily Thankfulness
Day 10: MyrtleMyrtle
Honesty in 5, 4 3, 2 …. Myrtle was added to my oil collecting because during my research I discovered that Myrtle essential oil can assist with normalizing hormonal imbalances of the thyroid and ovaries, as well as balancing the hypothyroid. Now, although I do not have a thyroid issue I have found that using thi oil has been very helpful! For those of you that have had children, you know that postpartum can play some crazy games with your hormones!
Myrtle is found in 10 other Young Living oils/products! This amazing oil is also great for thyroid problems, throat/lung/sinus infections, prostate problems, skin irritation (acne, blemishes, bruises, oily skin, psoriasis, etc.), muscle spasms.
Myrtle has a clear, fresh, herbaceous scent, similar to eucalyptus. Supportive of the respiratory system, skin, and hair, it has been researched for its effects on glandular imbalances and its soothing effects when inhaled.
It is also helpful for meditation and lifting the spirit. Myrtle has an approximate ORAC of 253,512 (TE/L). TE/L is expressed as micromole Trolox equivalent per liter.
