25 Days of Oily Thankfulness

Day 9: Basil BASIL EOIt’s Monday and for most of us that means we are all moving a bit slow this morning. Basil is my go-to for the Monday Blues. I diffuse basil (with Purification this morning) to help with Mental Clarity and Alertness! Basil Essential Oil has a strong, spicy aroma that is invigorating to the spirit, bringing a sense of balance and calms the mind.

Did you know, in the 16th century, the powdered leaves were inhaled to treat migraines and chest infections. The Hindu people put basil sprigs on the chests of dead people to protect them from evil spirits. Italian women wore basil to attract possible suitors.

Medical Properties: powerful anti-spasmodic, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxant.

Basil is also great for aching muscles, tension reliever, relieves nervous tension, improve circulation, mental fatigue and so much more.
